1. Post transcriptional regulation of metabolism.
2. Fatty acid oxidation (FAO) and FAO disorders. Mechanisms and therapeutics.
3. Mass spectrometry-based identification and quantification of total proteomes and post translational modifications.

Research summary

• Dr. Doulias’ research interests involve the regulation of metabolic activity under pathophysiological conditions as well as the development and testing of bioactive compounds for the correction of metabolic deficiencies. Current emphasis of Doulias research team is the fatty acid oxidation pathway including the utilization of embryonic stem cells as experimental model.
