Research summary

• Dr. Leondaritis’ research interests include the analysis of lipid metabolism and signalling and mechanisms of regulation of tumor suppressor genes (PTEN and neurofibromin) with specific emphasis given in neuronal functions that are dysregulated in neurodevelopmental diseases. Currently, Leondaritis’ research team is focused on investigating the modulatory effects of small molecules/peptides on PTEN functions and elucidating the role of the extracellular bioactive lipid LPA on neuronal (axonal) development in vitro and in vivo.
