Research summary

  • Dr. Tsilidis is a molecular epidemiologist with a strong focus on cancer aetiology and prevention. His research focuses on the role of genetic, dietary, metabolic and hormonal pathways in cancer development, prognosis and survival. He serves as PI of the Epirus Health Study, an ongoing highly-phenotyped cohort in Greece. Since Jan. 2020, he is co-PI of the World Cancer Research Fund Continuous Update Project team at Imperial College London, where he leads the regular review of the epidemiological literature on the role of diet, nutrition, anthropometric characteristics and physical activity on cancer prevention and prognosis.
