Dr. Giokas’ research interests include the use of nanomaterials for:

  • sample preparation and pretreatment methods
  • development of optical sensors
  • Monitoring of nanomaterials release in the environment.
New research tasks are associated with the use of nanoporous materials for environmental remediation and passive sampling.
