Research topics (related to the Institute)

1. Monitoring and environmental quality

2. Environmental technologies

Research summary

  • Structure-property relations – Reaction engineering, proton-transfer reactions and kinetics by means of molecular spectroscopy (vibrational spectroscopies & ultrasonic relaxation spectroscopy) and ultrasonically-induced birefringence technique
  • Organic aerosol characterization by complementary measurements of chemical bonds and molecular fragments by means of vibrational spectroscopies
  • Study of pollution-induced structural degradation of organic materials constituting natural and cultural heritage by vibrational spectroscopies (Raman & IR)
  • Development of Mobile Laboratories for Environmental Pollution Measurements and Emission Control Systems Evaluation
