Research summary

Dr. Deligiannakis’ current research interests include
(i) development of novel nanomaterials using Advanced Flame Spray Pyrolysis technology with focus on semiconductor nanocatalysts, novel suboxic nanophases, nanoplasmonics, antioxidant nanomaterials
(ii) Study of their physicochemical properties by spectroscopic methods with expertise on Electron Paramagnetic Resonance to study the dynamics of electrons, holes, lattice-defects in nano- photo-active and redox-catalytic systems
(iii) Photo catalysis technology, fuel-cells, H2 production, O2-reduction, CO2 reduction, water splitting & Artificial Photosynthesis.
(iv) Environmental applications of nanomaterials , humic-nano hybrids, toxic-metal remediation (Pd, Cd, Cr, with specific expertise on Arsenic) and toxic –organics photocatalytic degradation.
