Soft matter (polymers, liquid crystals, etc.); Nanomaterials; Energy materials (polymer electrolytes - batteries); Biomaterials
Dr. Floudas’ research interests include molecular spectroscopy (dielectric spectroscopy, rheology) and scattering techniques to study:
(i) Structure, conformation and dynamics of synthetic and biological macromolecules
(ii) Phase state, kinetics and dynamics of block copolymers
(iii) Dynamics of crystallization in homopolymers, in crystalline-amorphous block copolymers and in peptides
(iv) Phase transitions and dynamics of soft matter under confinement.
