Research summary

Dr. Giokas’ research interests include the use of nanomaterials for:
(i) sample preparation and pretreatment methods
(ii) development of optical sensors
(iii) development of instrumental free analytical assays at the point-of-need and point-of-interest
(iv) Monitoring of nanomaterials release in the environment.
New research tasks are associated with the use of nanoporous materials for environmental remediation and passive sampling.
