Research summary

Dr. Karakassides’ research interests include: i) synthesis of ceramics, porous and composite materials, nanomaterials based on carbon and/or inorganic oxides, magnetic hybrid and catalytic materials and utilization of industrial wastes and biomass for the development of high -added value materials. ii) characterization - evaluation of materials by means of spectroscopic and analytical methods such as: vibrational spectroscopy and microspectroscopy (Raman, FT-IR), surface area and thermal analysis measurements and physical and physicochemical properties as well as.
