Corrosion and wear of metallic materials; Advanced coatings (nano and micro structured, multi-layer, gradient); Metastable alloys (amorphous, nanocrystalline, ultra-fine structured, complex metallic alloys); Particulate metal matrix composites (nano and ultra-fine reinforcements, nano- and fine structured matrix); New technologies for alloy manufacture; Alloy heat treatment.
